This Privacy Policy explains how Img Stop (https://imgstop.com/) handles information when you use our website and tools. The short version: the images and files you open in our tools are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to our servers.
1. Your images and files
All image tools run locally on your device using your web browser (JavaScript, Canvas and WebAssembly). Files you choose, drop or paste are read by your browser and the results are created on your device. We do not receive, see, store or share your images, PDFs or the text extracted from them.
2. Information we collect
- Contact form: if you contact us, we receive your name, email address, the topic and your message. We use them only to answer you and keep them for up to 24 months.
- Server logs: like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records technical data such as IP address, browser type, pages visited and time of visit, for security and to keep the site running.
- Preferences: your light/dark mode choice is saved in your own browser (local storage). It is not sent to us.
3. Third-party services used by the tools
To keep the website fast and free, some tools load open-source code libraries and AI models from public content delivery networks, such as jsDelivr, Hugging Face and Google (for the face-detection model). When this happens your browser connects to these services, so they can see your IP address and browser information, as with any website request. Your images are not sent to them.
4. Cookies, analytics and advertising
We may use analytics tools (for example Google Analytics) to understand how visitors use the site in aggregate, and advertising services (for example Google AdSense) to keep the tools free.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info.
- Learn how Google uses data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Where required by law (for example in the EU/UK), we ask for your consent before setting non-essential cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
5. How we use and share information
We use the limited information above to answer messages, protect the site from abuse and improve our tools. We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers that help us run the website (such as hosting and email), or when required by law.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or CCPA), you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, and to complain to a data-protection authority. To make a request, please use our contact page.
7. Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
8. Security
Because your files are processed on your device, they are not exposed to data breaches on our side. We use HTTPS and reasonable measures to protect the small amount of information we do receive.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
