About the Add Watermark
Add Watermark places your name, website, copyright line or logo on top of your photos. You can write text in one of ten fonts and any color, or use a logo image, ideally a PNG with transparency. The mark can sit in one of nine positions, such as the bottom right corner, or be tiled at an angle over the whole image so it is hard to crop away.
A watermark shows who owns an image and makes copying less attractive. Photographers, online sellers, designers and teachers use it on product photos, portfolios, notes and property pictures. A light opacity of 30–60% protects the photo without hiding it. Because Img Stop processes the whole batch in your browser, you can mark a large set of pictures in one go without uploading your work.

When to use it
- Mark product photos for an online shop or Facebook page so others cannot reuse them easily.
- Protect wedding or event photos before sending previews to clients.
- Add your website or social media name to images you post online.
- Put a large Sample or Copy mark across documents shared only for checking.
- Brand real estate or car photos with your company logo.
Tips for the best result
- Use a PNG logo with a transparent background. A logo inside a white box looks unprofessional on photos.
- Tile mode at 15–25% opacity is the hardest to remove while the photo stays clear to see.
- White text with the built-in soft shadow reads well on most photos; switch to dark text on very bright images.
- Keep your original files. A watermark becomes part of the pixels and cannot be removed later.
Frequently asked questions
How do I add a logo watermark to my photos?
Choose Logo image under Watermark and select your logo file. A PNG with transparency works best. Set Size and Opacity, pick a position such as the bottom right corner, and check the preview. Press Add watermark to all to put the logo on every photo you added.
How do I watermark many photos at once?
Drop all your photos into the tool together. The watermark settings you choose are used for every image, and the size scales to each photo's width. Press Add watermark to all, then use Download all (ZIP) to save the full batch in one file.
What is the best opacity for a watermark?
For a corner watermark, 50–70% opacity is clear but not distracting. For a tiled watermark across the whole image, 15–30% is usually enough, because it repeats many times. Lower the opacity in the preview until the photo looks good but the mark is still easy to read.
How do I make a diagonal watermark over the whole picture?
Choose Tile under Position. The text or logo is repeated in rows over the full image. Use the Tile angle slider to set the slant, for example -30° or 45°. This style is much harder to crop out than a single mark in one corner.
Can I add the © copyright symbol?
Yes. The text box already starts with a © sign, and you can type any text you like, including ©, ® and ™. You can also write in other languages, as long as the font on your device supports those letters.
