Quick answer

Open Img Stop Rotate & Flip Image, add your pictures and choose ↻ 90°, ↺ 90°, 180° or Custom for any angle from −180° to 180°. Tick Flip horizontal (mirror) or Flip vertical if needed, then click Apply to all images and download.

About the Rotate & Flip Image

Img Stop Rotate & Flip Image turns photos that are sideways or upside down the right way up. Choose quarter turns clockwise or counter-clockwise, a half turn, or a custom angle with a slider to straighten a tilted horizon or a crooked document scan. The canvas grows to fit the rotated picture, so no corner of your photo is cut off.

Flipping makes a mirror copy. A horizontal flip fixes mirrored selfies and reversed text, and a vertical flip turns a picture over top to bottom. With a custom angle the empty corners can be transparent, white or black. All settings apply to every image in the list, which saves time with a full set of scans.

When to use it

  • Fix phone photos that show sideways on a computer or website.
  • Straighten a scanned page or receipt that was placed at a slight angle.
  • Mirror a selfie so text on clothes or signs reads the right way.
  • Turn a batch of portrait scans into landscape pages before making a PDF.
  • Create a reflected or upside-down effect for a design or social media post.

Tips for the best result

  • For a tilted horizon, small angles like 1–3° are usually enough. Crop afterwards to remove the empty corners.
  • Choose Transparent corners and PNG output if you will place the rotated image on a colored background.
  • If a JPG is rotated by a custom angle with transparent corners, it is saved as PNG to keep the transparency.

Frequently asked questions

How do I rotate a picture 90 degrees?

Add the picture and click ↻ 90° to turn it clockwise, or ↺ 90° to turn it counter-clockwise. The preview updates right away. Click Apply to all images and download the result. The width and height swap, so a portrait photo becomes landscape.

What is the difference between rotate and flip?

Rotating turns the whole picture around its center, like turning a paper on a table. Flipping makes a mirror copy: left becomes right (horizontal) or top becomes bottom (vertical). You can combine both in one step with this tool.

How can I mirror a selfie?

Tick Flip horizontal (mirror) and leave the rotation at 0°. Many front cameras save selfies reversed, so text looks backwards. Flipping horizontally fixes this. Click Apply to all images and download the corrected photo.

Why does my photo get bigger when I rotate by a custom angle?

A tilted picture needs a larger frame so its corners are not cut off. The tool makes the canvas just big enough and fills the extra corners with transparent, white or black. Use Crop Image afterwards if you want a clean rectangle.

Can I rotate many images at once?

Yes. Add all the images and choose the rotation and flip settings once. When you click Apply to all images, every file is turned the same way. Download them one by one or use Download all (ZIP).
