Your files never leave your device. All processing happens in your browser.
Add photos to the Img Stop Auto Face Blur tool and choose an effect: Blur, Pixelate, Solid or an emoji. Set the strength, shape and area size, then click Blur faces. On-device AI finds every face and hides it, and you download the private copy.
About the Auto Face Blur
The Img Stop Auto Face Blur tool finds faces in a photo and hides them for you. It uses Google MediaPipe face detection, which runs on your own device in the browser. For larger photos it also scans overlapping parts of the image, so small faces in the background of group photos are found too. The result shows how many faces were found.
Hiding faces protects privacy before you share pictures of events, streets, schools or customers. Many people do not want to appear online, and some places have rules about children and strangers in photos. You can blur or pixelate the faces, cover them with a solid block, or place a smiling emoji over them. Because nothing is uploaded, even sensitive photos stay with you.

Tips for the best result
- Use Pixelate or Solid for strong privacy. A light blur can sometimes still show who someone is.
- Raise Area size to 150 percent or more to cover hair, ears and beards, not only the face.
- Faces in profile, very small or partly hidden faces can be missed. Check the preview, and use the Blur / Pixelate tool to cover any face by hand.
Frequently asked questions
How do I blur all faces in a photo automatically?
Add the photo to Auto Face Blur, choose Blur and click Blur faces. The AI detects each face and blurs it, and the result shows how many faces were found. Download the image when you are happy with the preview.
Is blurring or pixelating better for privacy?
Strong pixelation or a solid cover hides a face more reliably than a soft blur. If privacy is important, choose Pixelate with high strength or Solid. Blur looks softer and more natural, which suits photos where you just want faces less clear.
Why were some faces not blurred?
Face detection can miss faces that are very small, turned to the side, covered by hands or masks, or in very dark light. Always check the preview. For missed faces, open the Blur / Pixelate tool and mark those areas by hand.
Can I blur faces in many photos at once?
Yes. Add all your photos at the same time. The same effect, strength, shape and area size are used for each photo. When processing is done, press Download all (ZIP) to save them together.
Does the tool need internet to work?
Internet is needed the first time to load the face detection model and its WebAssembly files. After that your browser can reuse them. The photos themselves are processed on your device and are never uploaded.
