About the Add Border & Rounded Corners

Add Border & Rounded Corners frames your pictures with a clean edge. You can add a colored border up to 20% of the image's shorter side, round the corners from slightly soft to fully pill shaped, and add outer space with a transparent, white, black or light gray background. An optional drop shadow makes the picture look like it floats above the page.

Borders help photos stand out on white websites, social media feeds and printed layouts. A white frame gives a classic print look, rounded corners match modern app and website design, and a shadow adds depth to product shots and screenshots. When rounded corners or transparent space are used, Img Stop saves a PNG automatically, so the corners stay see-through.

Frequently asked questions

How do I add a white border to a photo?

Add the photo, keep Border color on white and move the Border width slider, for example to 3% or 5%. The border is measured from the shorter side of the image, so it is the same thickness on all four edges. Press Apply to all images to download.

How do I make rounded corners on an image?

Move the Rounded corners slider. Small values like 4% give soft corners, and 50% makes the shorter side fully round. Set Border width to 0 if you do not want a frame. The result is saved as PNG so the cut corners stay transparent.

Why is my image saved as PNG and not JPG?

JPG cannot store transparent pixels. When you use rounded corners or transparent outer space, the area outside the image must be see-through, so Img Stop saves a PNG automatically. If you use square corners and fill any outer space with a color, the original format is kept.

How do I add a shadow to an image?

Tick Drop shadow. The tool adds extra space around the image and draws a soft dark shadow below it. Choose an Outer background color, or leave it transparent if you plan to place the image on a website or slide that has its own background.

Can I add a border to many photos at once?

Yes. Add all the photos together and set the border once. The border width, corners and space are calculated in percent, so they look the same on big and small images. Press Apply to all images and use Download all (ZIP) to save them together.
