About the Social Media Image Resizer
The Img Stop Social Media Image Resizer changes any photo to the exact pixel size a platform expects. It has ready presets for Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp, Pinterest and Snapchat, from a 1080 × 1350 Instagram portrait post to a 2560 × 1440 YouTube channel banner. You can also type a custom width and height.
Uploading the wrong size makes platforms crop heads, cut off text or blur the picture. With the right size, your post looks sharp and complete. When the photo shape does not match, you choose how to fill the space: crop to fill, fit the whole photo on a blurred copy of itself, or fit it on a solid color. Many photos can be resized in one go.

When to use it
- Make a 1080 × 1920 Instagram or WhatsApp Status image from a normal photo.
- Create a Facebook page cover at 851 × 315 pixels.
- Prepare a 1584 × 396 LinkedIn profile banner.
- Fit a landscape photo into a square post without cutting anyone out, using the blur background.
- Resize a logo for profile pictures on several platforms.
Tips for the best result
- Use Fit + blur background when you do not want to crop anything. It fills empty space with a soft copy of the same photo.
- For Instagram feed posts, the portrait 4:5 size (1080 × 1350) takes more screen space than a square post.
- If heads are cut off in Fill mode, set Crop focus to Top / left to keep the upper part of the photo.
- Profile pictures are often shown as circles, so keep the face in the center.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best image size for an Instagram post?
The resizer offers three Instagram post sizes: square 1080 × 1080, portrait 4:5 at 1080 × 1350 and landscape 1080 × 566. Stories and Reels use 1080 × 1920. Portrait 4:5 is a popular choice because it fills more of the phone screen in the feed.
How do I resize a photo without cropping it?
Choose Fit + blur background or Fit + color. The whole photo is scaled to fit inside the new size, and the empty space is filled with a blurred copy of the photo or a color you pick. Nothing from the original picture is cut off.
What size should a WhatsApp DP be?
The resizer uses 500 × 500 pixels for a WhatsApp profile picture (DP) and 1080 × 1920 for WhatsApp Status. WhatsApp shows the DP as a circle, so keep the face in the middle of the square.
What is the YouTube banner size?
The YouTube channel banner preset is 2560 × 1440 pixels. YouTube shows only a smaller middle strip on phones and computers, so keep logos and text near the center. The YouTube thumbnail preset is 1280 × 720 and Shorts use 1080 × 1920.
Can I resize one photo for several platforms?
Pick one preset, resize and download. Then choose the next preset and click Resize for social media again. The same photo stays loaded, so you can quickly make an Instagram post, a Facebook cover and a LinkedIn banner from one picture.
