Your files never leave your device. All processing happens in your browser.
Add your logo to the Img Stop Favicon Generator, set padding, rounded corners and an optional background color, then click Generate favicons. You get favicon.ico, PNG icons from 16 to 512 px, an Apple touch icon, a site.webmanifest and HTML code, all in one ZIP.
About the Favicon Generator
The Img Stop Favicon Generator makes the small icon shown in browser tabs, bookmarks and phone home screens. From one PNG, JPG or SVG image it creates a favicon.ico with 16, 32 and 48 pixel sizes inside, plus PNG files at 16, 32, 48, 150, 180, 192 and 512 pixels. Each size is drawn fresh from your original image, so it stays sharp.
A favicon helps visitors find your site among many open tabs and makes it look trusted. Modern devices need more than one size: iPhones use a 180 px Apple touch icon, and Android uses 192 and 512 px icons listed in a web manifest. This tool writes the manifest with your app name and gives you the HTML link tags to paste inside the head of your page.

Frequently asked questions
What size should a favicon be?
Browsers mainly use 16 × 16 and 32 × 32 pixel icons in tabs. Phones need larger ones: 180 × 180 for Apple devices and 192 × 192 and 512 × 512 for Android. This generator makes all of these, plus a favicon.ico that holds the 16, 32 and 48 px sizes.
How do I convert a PNG to favicon.ico?
Add your PNG to the Favicon Generator and click Generate favicons. The tool builds a real favicon.ico file containing three icon sizes. Download it alone or in the ZIP with the other icons, and place it in the main folder of your website.
Where do I put the favicon HTML code?
Open favicon-html-code.txt from the ZIP and copy the link tags. Paste them inside the head section of every page, usually in your theme header file. Then upload all the icon files and site.webmanifest to the root of your site.
Can I make a round favicon?
Yes. Move the Rounded corners slider up to 50% to make a full circle. Add some Padding so the logo does not touch the edge, and tick Background color if your logo has a transparent background.
Why is my favicon not showing after I uploaded it?
Browsers keep old favicons in their cache for a long time. Clear the cache or open your site in a private window to see the new icon. Also check that the file paths in the HTML code match where you uploaded the files.
