Open the Img Stop Lens Distortion Correction tool and add your photos. Choose a camera preset – phone wide (0.5×), action camera, strong fisheye, drone or pinched edges (zoom lens) – or set the Distortion and Edge correction sliders by hand. Keep “Fill the frame” on to crop the empty corners, check the straight-line grid in the preview, then click Correct photos and download.
About the Lens Distortion Correction
Wide-angle lenses bend straight lines outwards, so walls, horizons and door frames bulge towards the edges – the fisheye or barrel look of phone 0.5× ultra-wide cameras, GoPro and other action cams, and many drones. Zoom lenses can do the opposite and pinch the edges inwards (pincushion distortion). The Img Stop Lens Distortion Correction tool bends the picture back so straight lines are straight again.
Ready-made presets cover the most common cameras, and two manual sliders let you fine-tune the main distortion and the extreme edges. Correction leaves curved empty areas at the corners, so “Fill the frame” crops them away automatically. A grid of straight lines over the preview makes it easy to see when the picture is right. Correct one photo or a whole batch – in your browser, with no upload.

When to use it
- Straighten bulging walls in property and interior photos taken with a phone 0.5× camera.
- Remove the fisheye look from GoPro and action camera stills.
- Flatten a curved horizon in drone and landscape shots.
- Fix pinched edges in photos taken with a zoom lens.
- Make architecture and product photos look natural before publishing.
Tips for the best result
- Line up a horizon, a door frame or a wall edge with the grid – if it follows a grid line, the correction is right.
- Start with the preset for your camera, then switch to Manual if lines still curve slightly.
- Strong fisheye correction crops more of the edges – shoot a little wider if you know you will correct it.
- Lens correction does not fix tilted buildings; use Perspective Correction for converging verticals.
Frequently asked questions
How do I fix a fisheye photo online?
Add the photo to the Img Stop Lens Distortion Correction tool, choose the action camera or strong fisheye preset (or move the Distortion slider to the left), check the grid preview and click Correct photos.
What is barrel distortion?
Barrel distortion makes straight lines bow outwards, as if the picture were printed on a barrel. It is typical of wide-angle and fisheye lenses. Pincushion distortion is the opposite: edges bend inwards, which happens with some zoom lenses.
Can I fix photos from my phone’s 0.5× camera?
Yes. Choose the Phone wide (0.5×) camera preset. Many phones correct ultra-wide photos already, but walls and faces near the edges often still look stretched or curved.
Why are the corners cropped?
Straightening the lines pulls the corners inwards and leaves empty curved areas. “Fill the frame” crops them away so the photo stays rectangular; turn it off to keep everything and see the empty areas.
Does it fix leaning buildings?
No. Leaning or converging buildings are a perspective problem, not lens distortion. Use the Perspective Correction tool for that.
Are my photos uploaded?
No. The correction is calculated in your browser.
