About the Image Annotator
The Img Stop Image Annotator is a quick mark-up editor for screenshots and photos. Point things out with arrows, frame them with boxes and ellipses, highlight text, number the steps of a guide with markers that count up by themselves, and add text labels or speech-bubble callouts.
Passwords, e-mail addresses and faces can be hidden with a pixelate, blur or black-bar box. Every mark stays editable – move it, drag its handles, change its colour or size – until you save. Everything happens in your browser, so confidential screenshots are never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
How do I annotate a screenshot?
Take a screenshot (Win+Shift+S on Windows, Cmd+Shift+4 on Mac), open the Img Stop Image Annotator and press Ctrl+V. Then add arrows, boxes, numbers or text and save the image or copy it to the clipboard.
Can I move or change a mark after drawing it?
Yes. Choose Select, click the mark and drag it, or drag its round handles to resize it. While it is selected you can change its colour, line width or text size, or press Delete to remove it.
How do I hide private information in a screenshot?
Choose Blur / pixelate and drag a box over the information. Pick Pixelate, Blur or Black bar under “Hide with”. The original pixels are replaced in the saved image.
How do numbered steps work?
Choose Numbered step and click where each marker should go. The number goes up by one each time; you can set the next number in the panel to continue a series.
Does it work on phones and tablets?
Yes. You can draw with your finger or a stylus, and the toolbar adapts to small screens. Pasting depends on your phone, so you can also choose a screenshot from your gallery.
Are my images uploaded?
No. All editing happens on your device in your browser.
