About the Photos to Video (Slideshow Maker)

Photos to video – Photos to Video (Slideshow Maker)

The Img Stop Photos to Video maker turns a set of pictures into a ready-to-post video slideshow. Each photo is shown for the time you choose, with a fade, a slide or a slow Ken Burns zoom between them, and photos with another shape are fitted on a soft blurred copy of themselves so there are no black bars.

Add a caption to any slide and your own song or voice-over as background music: it is trimmed to the video length, can loop when it is shorter, and fades in and out. The video is made on your device with the browser’s built-in encoder – an MP4 with H.264 video at 30 frames per second in up to 1080p – and none of your photos or music is uploaded.

When to use it

  • Make an Instagram Reel, TikTok or YouTube Short from holiday photos.
  • Create a birthday, wedding or anniversary slideshow with a favourite song.
  • Share a product showcase or property tour as a short video ad.
  • Turn class or event photos into a video for a WhatsApp group or a screen at the venue.
  • Make a memorial or “year in review” video from family pictures.

Tips for the best result

  • 2–3 seconds per photo feels lively on Reels and TikTok; 4–5 seconds suits calm family slideshows.
  • Use “Fit photos to music length” so the video ends together with your song.
  • Ken Burns zoom brings still photos to life – it works best with landscapes and group shots.
  • Keep captions short; on phones only a few words can be read during one slide.
  • Chrome or Edge on a computer make the most compatible MP4 (with AAC sound) for iPhones.

Frequently asked questions

How do I make a video from photos with music?

Add your photos to the Img Stop Photos to Video maker, click “Choose music” and pick a song or voice-over from your device. Set the time per photo and a transition, then click Create video. The music is cut to the video length and faded out at the end.

Which size should I use for Instagram Reels and TikTok?

Choose 9:16 at 1080p, which gives 1080 × 1920 pixels – the native size for Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts and WhatsApp Status. Use 4:5 or 1:1 for feed posts and 16:9 for normal YouTube videos.

Why did I get a WebM file instead of MP4?

MP4 is made with the browser’s video encoder (WebCodecs). A few browsers, such as older Firefox and Safari versions, do not have it, so the tool records a WebM video instead. Chrome or Edge on a computer or Android always make MP4.

Is there a limit on the number of photos?

There is no fixed limit. Long 1080p videos with many photos take longer to make and need more memory, so on older phones try 720p for very long slideshows.

Can I add text to the photos?

Yes. Type a caption under any photo in the list. You can place captions at the top, middle or bottom and choose a label box or shadow style, colour and size.

Are my photos uploaded?

No. The video is put together and encoded on your own device in your browser, so your photos and music stay private.
