Quick answer

Drop a photo on the Img Stop Hair Color Changer. On-device AI finds the hair and colors it with the shade you pick – blonde, platinum, red, brunette, black, pink, blue, purple and more, or any custom color. The light and dark strands stay, so the result looks like real dyed hair. Adjust intensity, lightness and edge softness, add an ombré, then download.

About the Hair Color Changer

Hair color changer – Hair Color Changer

The Img Stop Hair Color Changer lets you see a new hair color before you book the salon or buy a dye. An AI model made for selfies marks every pixel of hair, and a smart color blend keeps the highlights, shadows and texture of the original hair, so the new color looks natural instead of painted on.

Pick one of 17 ready shades or choose your own color, make it lighter or darker, and add a two-tone ombré that fades towards the ends. If the AI misses a strand or colors a bit of the background, fix it with the brush. The AI downloads once and runs in your browser – your photo is never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions

How does the hair color changer work?

An AI model finds which pixels are hair. Each hair pixel then gets the new color while its own brightness is kept, so the shine and texture of the real hair stay visible.

Will it look realistic?

It looks most real on clear photos with good light. Natural shades close to your own lightness look the most real. Big changes, like black to platinum, work too – raise Lightness and use the brush to clean up the edges.

What if the AI colors my face or the background?

Click “Edit hair area”, choose Remove and paint over that spot. Use “Add hair” to include strands that were missed. Your fix is used for the final download.

Can I make ombré or two-tone hair?

Yes. Turn on Ombré, pick the color for the ends and move “Fade starts at” to set where the second color begins.

Is it free and private?

Yes. The tool is free, needs no account, and runs fully in your browser. The AI downloads once (about 16 MB) and your photos never leave your device.

Does it work on several photos?

Yes. Add many photos, preview each one, and download them all as a ZIP with the same color settings.
