About the Remove Text from Image
The Img Stop Remove Text from Image tool clears captions, date stamps, labels, prices and meme text from pictures without hours of cloning. A text reader finds each word and draws a box around it, and only the letters themselves are marked, so the AI has more real background to work with.
You stay in control: switch words on or off, paint extra areas with the brush, unmark parts you want to keep, and choose between the standard AI fill, the HD AI (LaMa) or a quick fill with no download. Everything runs on your device and your image is never uploaded.

Frequently asked questions
How does it remove text?
A text reader finds the words and their exact position. The letters are turned into a mask, the mask is grown a little to cover outlines and shadows, and an AI inpainting model paints new background in their place.
What if some text is not found?
Choose Brush and paint over it. Stylised, very small or curved text is sometimes missed – the brush covers it.
Can I keep some words?
Yes. Click a red box to unmark that word, or use Unmark to paint over parts that should stay.
Which fill should I use?
AI (28 MB) is a good default. HD AI (200 MB) is better for large areas and detailed backgrounds. Quick fill needs no download and works well on plain colors.
Is the quality kept?
Yes. Images up to 4096 px are edited at full size; bigger images are saved at 4096 px on the long side.
Is my image uploaded?
No. Text finding and AI fill run in your browser on your device.
